Hi everyone! I am proud to report that I summited Kilimanjaro last Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. I have drafted a pretty lengthy summary of my experience and look forward to sharing with you - the only issue is that the internet service has been really spotty and that I haven't been able to connect my laptop to access yet (trying to take the internet cord out of the back of the desktop apparently makes people around here very nervous). Anyway, will try and find a disk at my hotel to copy over the update and some pictures to post tomorrow.
Another quick update - spent the last two days in Arusha (one on a game drive in Arusha National Park) and am now in Jambiani, Zanzibar. Taking lots of pictures and notes to share with you - hopefully tomorrow!
Thanks to all of you for all of the emails. I know I haven't been able to respond much, but it has definitely brightened my day to hear from you. I read every single one, and they all bring a smile to my face. Keep sending me updates from home!
